Welcome to ACCESO 2.0!

Welcome to the new and improved Proyecto ACCESO website – ACCESO 2.0 as we have been calling it.

We are updating our work with Proyecto ACCESO to address the changing needs of governments, legal sectors, indigenous peoples and other communities around the Americas. Providing assistance in the reconstruction of the rule of law since 1999, Proyecto ACCESO has moved into a number of new reforms – so-called second generation reforms.

We have introduced DNA technologies to help public defenders free wrongfully convicted defendants. We have developed innovations like drug treatment courts for judges to empower low level drug offenders to kick their respective habits and computer forensic skills for prosecutors to defeat Intellectual Property piracy and stem terrorist financing sources.

We have been commissioned by national and municipal authorities in such diverse places as Bolivia, Chile and the United States to help improve the administration of justice and increase the general public’s confidence in the legal sector around our region. And we have introduced new ways to utilize popular culture in doing such work on legal and other reforms.


We have done this work as a not for profit organization, working out of cramped quarters in La Paz, Santiago de Chile and San Diego, California. We are ready to do more. Thank you for your interest in and for supporting Proyecto ACCESO as we enter our second decade building the rule of law.
