  "Train the Trainer"

The Janeen Kerper Train the Trainer course began exactly at 8.30 a.m. to great excitement on Monday, March 10th. At the opening ceremony were the Hon. Ana Virginia Calzada, the President of the Colegio de Abogados, the President of the School of Justice, and the American Consul.

The Hon. Ana Virginia Calzada dedicated the course to Janeen Kerper, in honor of her memory and contributions to the legal system in Costa Rica. She recounted Janeen's life in Costa Rica, her passion for oral advocacy and the legacy she left behind by having trained numerous lawyers, judges, and ministry of justice officials in trial skills and the administration of justice. She also spoke of Janeen's generosity in establishing the Janeen Kerper
scholarship to continue training lawyers and judges in Latin American in the art of trial skills. It is thanks to her scholarship that I am able to be here this week teaching the Train the Trainer course.

Please let everyone at the service know that the name Janeen Kerper continues to be heard in the halls of Justice of San Jose, Costa Rica, where her teachings will live forever. I feel very proud to honor her memory by putting to work all the knowledge and skills she taught me. In San Jose, Costa Rica, Janeen will continue to be loved and remembered by all of those she touched.

fondly,

Flama
