CALIFORNIA
WESTERN SCHOOL OF LAW
The
mission of California
Western School of Law is to educate creative problem solvers.
As
a creative problem solver, a lawyer must utilize a number of skills
including oral advocacy, legal design, new technology, investigation
and negotiation skills to best represent his or her client. Our
clients include governments, public insitutions, private corporations,
trade unions, indigenous peoples, student groups, women's groups,
and non-governmental organizations. While much of dispute resolution
occurs within state-sanctioned institutions like courts and administrative
tribunals, lawyers must also interact with social agencies, law
enforcement officials, and other interested parties in a dispute.
At
California Western School of Law, we are dedicated to training lawyers
in all the roles they must play in society. Located on the border
of San Diego and Tijuana, California Western School of Law is located
in the space where two legal cultures meet and interact. With our
rich programs in international and comparative law, Proyecto
ACCESO complements the international studies curriculum at California
Western School of Law. Proyecto ACCESO and California
Western School of Law are bringing practitioners, jurists, academicians,
and students together to examine the rule of law in the Americas.
