Chilean Public Defenders in Asunción, Paraguay

The Chilean Public Defenders Office facilitated two Oral Advocacy programs together with the Paraguayan Defenders Office.

The course was done with the collaboration of Proyecto ACCESO who shared the methodology and the experience of the instructors who offered the course. Public Defenders Claudio Pavlic Véliz, Regional Defender, José Martínez Ríos, Chief of Studies, both from the Araucania Region in Chile. They both have been ACCESO trainers since 2001.

This program was undertaken in collaboration with GTZ (the German Government Technical Cooperation Agency).

The course was very popular with young defenders who were very enthusiastic, particularly concerning exercises which featured the ACCESO methodology.
