Social Justice and Film: TV Justicia to Debut in the United States

At the second annual Imperial Beach Film Festival in Southern California (Sept. 10-12, 2004), James Cooper will be talking about film and new media as a tool for justice movements, highlighting some his most recent documentary work dealing the rising problems of intellectual property fraud, corruption, and law enforcement in Latin America.
TV Justicia is a one-hour pilot show for ACCESO Vision.

Cooper, a Canadian lawyer, has written, directed and produced films for the U.S. History Channel, Channel Four in the United Kindgom, and City TV in Canada.

Cooper’s film "Una Nueva Jusicia en Marcha", a German-Chilean government co-production, was featured in the first annual Imperial Beach Film Festival.

Cooper will also be teaching a Seminar on Social Justice will take place on September 11th at the Dempsey Hall Facility. A debut of "TV Justicia", Cooper’s reality new TV show will be screened at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday, September 12th to celebrate the conclusion of this year’s festival as well.
