ACCESO, GTZ and Ministry of Justice
launch Remusica Interactive CD

On Thursday, May 27th, Remusica, the interactive CD designed to educate young people about the criminal procedure reform in Chile, was launched at La Batuta in Santiago de Chile.

Some 300 people from universities, government ministries and the media came to this famous club in the Nunoa sector of the Chilean capital.

Vice-Minister of Justice Jaime Arellano opened the event and a portion of the video clip was unveiled for the assembed crowd. La Monart then played its songs "Victimas y Victimarios" followed by Banda Fantasia who played "Juicio Oral".

GTZ lawyer and Rule of Law Project director Jorg Stippel then spoke to the audience and introduced Los Jurisconsultos who played their song "Que te persiga tu corazon". Heavy metal artists Raiza then stepped on stage to sing "El Inquisidor", which was well received by the crowd of twenty year olds.

"This CD is a real group effort," said Arellano, who also played drums on one of the songs. Stippel agreed: "It comes out just in time for the reform to be implemented in the capital region of Santiago."

Watch for a DVD about the project to come out in the coming month. Copies of the DVD or CD may be obtained through GTZ ([email protected]).

The music from Remusica was also used in Una Nueva Justicia en Marcha, a DVD about legal reform in Bolivia and Chile and can be obtained through this website.
