of justice. We are judges, prosecutors, public defenders,
legal educators, and journalists. We are building new
systems for conflict resolution that are fair, efficient
and transparent.
By training legal innovators, together we are srengthening

What a year! 2005 was filled with wonderful events for ACCESO as we expanded our product line and our programs throughout Latin America.

Mark Weinstein, Professor of Law and Associate Dean at California Western School of Law traveled to Chile in late July to participate in the joint post-graduate program at the University of Chile. The 24 students – law professors, government and private lawyers – got a real lesson in comparative law. 
ACCESO Capacitacion Trainer José Martínez has been appointed as Regional Public Defender for de La Araucanía Region last friday. It is a great news for him and for ACCESO. Congratulations Pepe.
On Thursday, May 27th, Remusica, the interactive CD designed to educate young people about the criminal procedure reform in Chile, was launched at La Batuta in Santiago de Chile. 
On April 4 and 5, 2005, ACCESO partnered with the Federal Magistrate Judges Association of the United States, the United States Embassy in Argentina, and Fundacion Libra of Argentina to facilitate a one and a half day judicial exchange program in Buenos Aires.
The program teaches young children about the importance of the rule of law, the basics of their human and civil rights and the meaning of civil participation.
