Public Education - Law and popular culture

Proyecto ACCESO is a public education program that promotes the rule of law in Latin America.  A fair and effective judicial system is the foundation for the protection of fundamental human, labor, and environmental rights.   The general public must understand its rights in order to better advocate and believe in the fair and peaceful settlement of disputes.  Only then can we increase confidence in the administration of justice.

Using popular culture, Proyecto ACCESO creates programs with governments, international agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community groups to increase public security, reduce inequality, and promote sustainable development.  Proyecto ACCESO has developed communication materials including public service announcements for television broadcast for the President’s Office in Bolivia, consulted on the implementation of oral trials for Los Pinos in Mexico, and produced films for the Governments of Chile, Germany and the United States.

A non-profit group with operations in Canada, the United States, and throughout Latin America, Proyecto ACCESO has partnered with, and been funded, by the Organization of American States, the United Nations Development Programme, the Inter-American Development Bank, and private philanthropic foundations.

Democratic governance requires educated citizens.  Proyecto ACCESO makes that happen.
